An Aircraft With up to 20 People on Board Crashes in Tennessee, US

A plane carrying several people crashed this Sunday in Coffee County, Tennessee, about 96 kilometers south of Nashville, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

“Initial reports suggest there were between 16 and 20 people on board. Some were airlifted to nearby hospitals,” authorities said in a post on X.
They added that “others are being evaluated at the scene” and that they were still investigating the incident.
Local media report that four crew members were taken to a hospital, two of them with serious injuries and two with minor injuries.
The incident occurred near Tullahoma Regional Airport around 12:15 p.m. local time (5:15 p.m. GMT), according to the Highway Patrol.
Initial investigations indicate that the aircraft was a skydiving plane that crashed after hitting some trees and landed next to the Beechcraft Aviation Museum.
Local authorities are at the scene, and personnel from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are heading to the area.
